The Position: The Bancroft Chophouse is seeking an experienced Cook to join our restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and be able to prepare delicious meals for our customers. The Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring that all food is cooked to perfection and presented in an appealing manner. The successful candidate will have a passion for food, be knowledgeable about different cooking techniques and have experience in preparing a variety of cuisines.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.
- Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
- Ensure that all food is cooked to the correct temperature and presented in an appealing manner.
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies and equipment.
- Keep the kitchen clean and organized, following sanitation guidelines.
- Work with the kitchen team to ensure that all food is prepared on time and to the required quality standards.
- Collaborate with the management team to ensure that the kitchen is operating efficiently.
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Cook preferred.
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
- Willingness to learn new recipes, techniques, and stations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50lbs.
- A degree or diploma in Culinary Arts is a plus!
