The New Porgera Limited now has a vacancy for Supervisor – Crusher SAG Mills.

About the role

Reporting to the Foreman – Concentrator & Autoclaves, the Supervisor – Crusher SAG Mills is responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of equipment and processes in the crushing and SAG mill areas of a mining or mineral processing operation.

About you

The ideal candidate must have:

• Trades Certificate in Fitting & Machining from a recognized institution 

• A minimum of 5 years’ work experience in a similar leadership role within the extractive or resource industry

• Strong technical knowledge of crushing and grinding processes, equipment, and maintenance practices.

• Leadership and supervisory experience with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively 

• Good computer skills with the ability to use integrated management systems / workflow management systems (e.g. Oracle, JDE, SAP, etc.) 

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the Crusher and SAG Mill areas.
• Monitor equipment performance, process parameters, and production targets to ensure optimal efficiency and output.
• Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistent and safe production practices.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule and oversee routine maintenance activities on crushers, SAG mills, and associated equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs promptly to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repair activities
• Maintain a high level of health, safety and environmental awareness and comply with all relevant NPL policies & procedures

Mobilization Requirement 

This is a PNG National Staff position based onsite, FIFO– Arrangement on a rotation of 21 days on and 14 days off. Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening (arranged after the interview stage), and provide a Police Clearance Certificate issued within the last 6 months.
