New Porgera Limited, a leading name in the mining industry, is currently seeking a Qualified, skilled and experienced Scaffolder to fill in the role of Supervisor – Scaffolding - overseeing the construction, assembly, and dismantling of scaffolding structures at the Plant Site. Based in the Porgera Valley, this position offers an exciting opportunity to lead and contribute to a dynamic, safety-focused team in a world-class mining environment.

In this role, you will:

• Oversee the erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding structures, ensuring alignment with project timelines.

• Ensure all scaffolding activities adhere to safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.

• Conduct regular safety inspections and promptly address any defects.

• Lead and train a team of scaffolders, fostering skill development and adherence to best practices.

• Maintain scaffolding equipment, ensuring regular inspections, repairs, and inventory management.

• Coordinate with operating departments to ensure seamless project execution.

• Plan and execute tasks effectively using available resources to optimize cost and efficiency.

• Promote a strong health, safety, and environmental culture, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.

About You

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experiences:

• An Advanced Scaffolding ticket from a recognized institution

• 7 - 10 years of hands-on scaffolding experience in erection, modification, and dismantling.

• Dual tickets in Rigging/Scaffolding (highly desirable)

• Proven leadership and personnel management skills.

• Strong self-motivation with excellent communication, technical, and leadership skills.

• Effective planning and organizational abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.

• Computer literacy is essential.

Mobilization Requirement 

This is a PNG National Staff position based onsite, FIFO– Arrangement on a rotation of 21 days on and 14 days off. Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening (arranged after the interview stage), and provide a Police Clearance Certificate issued within the last 6 months.
