Position Overview

Under the supervision of the Housekeeping Manager, the Night Laundry Attendant ensures that all laundry needs for the spa are efficiently processed during overnight hours, supporting the hotel and spa operations. The Night Laundry Attendant is vital in maintaining a continuous, 24-hour laundry service to meet the high standards of cleanliness for guest towels, linens, and other laundry items. Flexibility to assist with hotel laundry as needed is required to ensure smooth operations.

Shifts: 11pm – 7am/Full-time/Permanent. Days, evenings & weekends.

Wage: $21

Key Responsibilities

Laundry Processing

1. • Wash, dry, fold, and organize spa towels, linens, and other laundry items.
   • Handle hotel laundry if needed, particularly during high-volume periods or backlogs.
   • Operate and maintain washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
   • Ensure linens from massage rooms, which may contain essential oils, are washed using the appropriate cycle and treatment to maintain quality and hygiene.
   • Ensure proper sorting of laundry items by type, color, and cleaning requirements.

Quality Control

1. • Inspect laundry for stains, damage, or wear and report items needing repair or replacement.
   • Ensure all laundered items meet hygiene and presentation standards.

Restocking & Distribution

1. • Prepare laundered items for delivery to spa treatment rooms, massage rooms, and locker areas.
   • Restock storage areas with clean towels, linens, and other supplies.

Collaboration & Flexibility

1. • Coordinate with the day shift to ensure seamless 24-hour laundry service.
   • Communicate any equipment issues, supply shortages, or maintenance needs to the Laundry Supervisor.

1. • Follow all safety procedures for handling laundry chemicals and equipment.
   • Maintain a clean and organized laundry area.

Requirements 

1. • Previous laundry or housekeeping experience preferred.
   • Ability to work independently overnight while managing time efficiently.
   • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness and hygiene standards.
   • Reliable, punctual, and a good team player with strong communication skills.
   • Comfortable working with laundry chemicals and equipment.
