Job Summary
Reporting to the Activity Supervisor, the Activity Assistant is responsible for programs, events and outings for all members. Provides personal attention to member's social, physical, emotional, spiritual & intellectual needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the development, planning, and implementation of group activities, special events, and projects.
- Assist in the training of volunteers in relation to the activity department and facility policies, etc.
- Maintains participant/member confidentiality.
- Assist in the personal care, transportation, serving meals to members, and monitoring members at lunchtime.
- Attends department meetings as required/requested.
- Coordinates assistance from other departments regarding the implementation of planned activities, and informing and assisting residents to and from activity programs.
- Completes assigned documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Maintain a professional working relationship with community health related agencies, resources and local vendors.
- Serves on committees, as assigned.
