Intermediate Designer, Process Control

BBA’s seeking an intermediate process control designer to join our new Thunder Bay office or existing Sudbury office to support our continued growth in Central Canada. You’ll be responsible for providing design services for local clients, with a focus on OPEX work. You’ll also play a key role in all phases of engineering projects, from front-end studies to field implementation, with a focus on detailed engineering.

As a member of the Automation, Instrumentation and Control System engineering team in Central Canada, you’ll be responsible for technical quality, project scope execution and regional collaboration with other technical experts.

• Contribute to engineering work packages for major process control systems, including crushing, grinding, flotation, leaching, dewatering, hydro generation, conveyors and process water systems
  
• Execute instrumentation, automation and control system scopes, including scope definition, budgets, schedules and delivery tracking
  
• Develop engineering deliverables to BBA and client standards, including P&IDs, specifications, drawings, models and schedules
  
• Design, integrate, program and commission PLC, HMI, DCS and industrial communication systems
  
• Provide technical guidance, review, mentorship and coaching to junior engineers and technologists
  
• Build strong client relationships, support business development and contribute to BBA initiatives and its positive office culture
