We are seeking compassionate and dependable Overnight Residential Counselors / Youth Mentors to support youth in a residential treatment setting. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in youth work, direct care, behavioral health, or mentoring who want to make a difference in the lives of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure student safety by providing supervision and monitoring throughout the night.
- Support students emotionally and environmentally by following individualized treatment plans.
- Utilize the agency’s crisis intervention model, including safe physical restraint techniques if absolutely necessary.
- Conduct regular safety checks, maintain a stable and supportive environment, and provide guidance when needed.
- Assist with evening routines such as meals, laundry, and bedtime preparation.
- Complete pre-shift planning and post-shift debriefings with staff.
- Maintain accurate mental health and program documentation within compliance standards (training provided).
- Communicate effectively with guardians, residential staff, and agency professionals.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with students to promote personal growth, self-awareness, and lasting change.
- Engage students in structured processing sessions under the agency’s therapeutic model.
- Safely transport students between program locations as needed (company vehicle provided).
