As a ServiceNow Developer, you’ll be part of a small but fast-growing team that fully owns the ServiceNow platform. The platform is a strategic pillar within BDO and continues to expand across multiple business processes. You’ll work independently, collaborate closely with stakeholders, and actively shape the platform’s future.
What will you be doing?
- Supporting end users and key users with incidents, questions, and small changes.
- Developing and debugging complex scripts, including Client Scripts, Business Rules, Script Includes, Flow Designer, and IntegrationHub.
- Working in an agile setup, translating epics into stories and delivering in sprints.
- Contributing to projects that introduce new functionality or extend existing and new modules.
- Developing in a dev environment and migrating changes correctly via update sets or scoped applications.
- Participating in platform and module upgrades (ITSM, CSM, WSD), including preparation, testing, clone-backs, and post-upgrade checks.
- Phasing out or replacing legacy custom applications when needed.
- Maintaining documentation and sharing knowledge within the team.
- Continuously learning about new ServiceNow modules, features, and best practices.
- Actively contributing ideas around performance optimization, governance, and platform improvements.
What do you bring to the table?
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Developer.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript within ServiceNow and the ability to independently build and understand complex scripts.
- Experience with update sets, scoped applications, and application lifecycle management.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow upgrades, including cloning, testing, and upgrade-related processes.
- Solid knowledge of ITSM; experience with CSM and WSD is a strong plus.
- ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CAD, CIS-ITSM, micro-certifications) are an asset, not a must.
- Fluent communication skills in English and Dutch or French.
- Willingness to work part of the week from our Zaventem office, combined with home working.
