- Manage a portfolio of clients, acting as a first-level point of contact for client queries and routine advisory matters
- Review bookkeeping, management accounts, and year-end financial statements for accuracy and compliance
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and professional practice requirements
- Manage client engagements, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation
- Review work prepared by staff to ensure quality and consistency
- Provide technical guidance on complex accounting matters
- Assist with preparation and review of VAT/recaps returns and other statutory filings
- Mentor, train, and performance-manage accounting staff • Liaise with auditors, regulators, and other professional advisors as required
- Preparation/review of financial statements, working papers and supporting schedules and checklists
- Identify opportunities to improve client processes and add value to client engagements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in an accounting, including team oversight or mentoring responsibilities
- University degree in Accounting or fully ACCA-qualified
- Proven ability to work autonomously while leading and supporting a team
- Highly assertive with strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with a strong self-motivated approach
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Fully fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Xero, Sage Online, and QuickBooks is considered a strong asset
- Experience reviewing work, improving processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls is preferred
