- Prepare, review and submit VAT returns;
- Preparing and reviewing VAT recap statements;
- Assisting clients with VAT registrations, de-registrations and ongoing statutory requirements;
- Assisting with the planning and estimates of the VAT work required and becoming involved in planning for more complex clients;
- Assisting with advising clients with respect to Maltese VAT implications and VAT developments;
- Assisting with VAT audits, queries or investigations;
- Liaising with the Malta Tax and Customs Administration on questions of interpretation;
- Assisting in due diligence assignments with respect to the VAT matters;
- Supporting the VAT team to develop new work; and
- Assisting with the preparation of publications.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant VAT experience;
- Masters in Accountancy or fully ACCA-qualified or in the last stage of being fully qualified;
- Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team;
- Be assertive and have an eye for detail;
- Good communication and organisational skills;
- Self-motivated and willing to learn;
- Able to work with strict deadlines;
- Fluent in English.
