- Providing tax advisory services to clients across a diverse range of industries with respect to Maltese tax implications and international tax developments;
- Liaising with the Malta Tax and Customs Administration on questions of interpretation;
- Working closely with other departments and professional advisors to provide a comprehensive tax consulting service;
- Conduct tax research and stay updated on changes in tax legislation;
- Preparing and reviewing tax computations;
- Reviewing tax returns;
- Reviewing of tax refund and Shareholder registration forms;
- Train and mentor junior team members;
- Preparing and reviewing tax due diligence assignments;
- Identify opportunities for new business and contribute to the development of business initiatives; and
- Assisting with and reviewing of publications.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant tax experience;
- Masters in Accountancy or fully ACCA-qualified or in the very last stage of being fully qualified;
- Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team;
- Organisational skills and have an eye for detail;
- Self-motivated and willing to learn;
- Able to work with strict deadlines;
- Fluent in English with advanced written and verbal communication ability; and
- Strong ability to delegate, manage and review work of the tax team.
