Risk Manager

Are you an experienced Risk professional looking to join a dynamic Lloyd's market insurer?

We are seeking a Risk Manager to support and enhance the enterprise risk management framework, working closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure risks are identified, assessed, monitored and managed effectively. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in a collaborative second line Risk function, contributing to business resilience, governance, regulatory compliance and strategic decision making.

What You'll Do

• Support the ongoing development and maintenance of the enterprise Risk Management Framework.
• Promote risk awareness and support risk training initiatives across the business.
• Maintain and enhance risk registers, controls frameworks and associated governance documentation.
• Coordinate and facilitate risk and control assessment exercises with business stakeholders.
• Develop, monitor and report on Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).
• Investigate risk incidents, losses and near misses, supporting root cause analysis and remediation activities.
• Prepare risk reporting for senior management, committees and key stakeholders.
• Support the production and ongoing development of ORSA documentation and reporting.
• Contribute to Internal Model validation, assurance and governance activities.
• Support stress testing, scenario testing and wider risk management initiatives, including ESG and climate risk activities.
• Partner with Underwriters and business leaders to embed a strong risk culture across the organisation.
• Help ensure the business remains compliant with regulatory and governance requirements.

Qualifications

Skills & Experience Required

• Minimum 5 years' Risk Management experience within a Lloyd's or London Market insurance environment.
• Strong understanding of Enterprise Risk Management frameworks and best practices.
• Experience supporting risk assessments, controls reviews and risk reporting processes.
• Good knowledge of ORSA, Internal Model validation and risk governance activities.
• Understanding of Lloyd's, PRA and Solvency UK regulatory requirements.
• Experience using Enterprise Risk Management systems such as Decision Focus or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Strong stakeholder management capabilities with experience working across business functions.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Desirable

• Degree, Master's degree or professional qualification in Risk Management, Insurance or a related discipline.
• Exposure to ESG, climate risk, stress testing and scenario analysis.
• Experience working with senior leadership teams and governance committees.
• Professional risk or insurance qualifications.
