Pelican Pete’s is a well-loved tiki-style restaurant on Lake Lanier in Gainesville, GA. At Pelican Pete’s, we’re all about having a good time. As Lake Lanier’s only floating tiki bar and restaurant, we offer a one-of-a-kind waterfront experience featuring unbeatable lake views, live music, and some of the best food and drinks on the lake. Centered around good food, good drinks, and good times, Pelican Pete’s continues to be a favorite gathering place for locals and visitors alike.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate and maintain the dishwashing machine according to safety and sanitation standards.
- Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans.
- Keep the dish area clean, organized, and free of debris throughout the shift.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed.
- Assist with trash removal and maintain proper waste disposal procedures.
- Inspect dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and rewash items as necessary.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Support kitchen staff with additional cleaning or prep tasks as directed by management.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and provide proper documentation.
- Previous experience in a kitchen or dishwashing role preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Physically able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs., bend, climb, reach overhead, and work in confined spaces.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
