Bestway Services, Inc. is seeking a dependable and motivated full-time Janitor to join our team at a courthouse facility in Los Angeles, California. This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and professional appearance of assigned areas throughout the facility. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, able to work independently, and committed to consistently meeting Bestway's cleaning and customer service standards.
Compensation
Starting pay is $24.02 per hour, consisting of:
- $18.47/hour base wage
- $5.55/hour health and welfare benefit
Responsibilities
- Provide professional and courteous customer service to courthouse staff, visitors, and other building occupants.
- Maintain the cleanliness of assigned areas according to company and customer standards.
- Perform biohazard cleaning as required; training will be provided.
- Clean entrances, hallways, elevators, lobbies, and other assigned areas.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms.
- Perform window cleaning as assigned.
- Empty trash and recycling containers and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
- Clean and sanitize trash containers as needed.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and spot clean floors.
- Inspect assigned areas for stains, gum, debris, and other cleaning needs.
- Remove cobwebs and clean signs and other surfaces.
- Properly and safely use cleaning products, supplies, and equipment.
- Maintain assigned areas in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
- Report maintenance, safety, equipment, or supply concerns to the supervisor.
- Follow all Bestway, customer, and courthouse safety and security requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
