    Purpose of the Role

BGIS is seeking an experienced Project Support Supervisor to support the delivery of projects within a major aviation precinct. Reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager, you will work collaboratively with both client and BGIS teams to provide project oversight, quality control, safety compliance, and documentation support across a range of works delivered during curfew and night shift periods.

This is a hands-on, site-based role that would suit someone who is self-motivated, safety-focused, and comfortable working autonomously overnight. You'll play an important part in ensuring works are completed safely, compliantly, and to a high standard while maintaining accurate records and clear communication with stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will be organised, detail-focused, and confident engaging with a range of stakeholders including airport staff, contractors, and site managers, with a strong commitment to safety and quality. 🛫

    Key Responsibilities

    • Coordinate and supervise curfew and night shift works, ensuring activities are planned, monitored, and completed safely and in line with site access, security, WHS, and operational requirements.
    • Provide project compliance and quality oversight throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Review, draft, and prepare project checklists, safety inductions, and documentation.
    • Visit active sites to verify inductions, review SWMS, and confirm pre-start toolbox talks are completed.
    • Ensure subcontractors, vendors, and builders comply with BGIS and client policies and processes.
    • Validate, archive, and manage milestone documentation in line with internal and client procedures.
    • Capture clear progress images and prepare nightly progress reports.
    • Escalate project risks and concerns in accordance with established processes.
    • Collaborate with the Facilities Management team to validate project plans and support smooth handovers.
    • Prepare and communicate concise status updates highlighting progress, risks, delays, and required actions.

    Education, Experience & Skills

    Essential:

    • Vocational training in building systems or construction.
    • Minimum 5 years' progressive experience in technical facilities management and/or project management (all levels encouraged to apply)
    • Strong safety focus with sound WHS knowledge and experience.
    • Strong knowledge of building systems and National Construction Codes (NCC).
    • Demonstrated experience with Scope of Works and Safety Inductions.
    • Strong documentation, reporting, and record-keeping skills.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management or ERP systems.
    • Ability to work autonomously during night shift.

    Desirable:

    • Formal tertiary qualification, trade qualification, advanced certificate, or Diploma relevant to the role.
    • Developed commercial acumen and understanding of contract law.
    • Experience within aviation, construction, or complex operational environments.
    • Existing ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card).
    • Experience supervising curfew or night shift works.

    Workplace Flexibility

This is a 100% on-site position based within a major aviation precinct in Mascot, operating on a night shift roster of 10:00pm to 6:00am. Free onsite parking is available, and a laptop and iPhone will be provided.
