Event Set up Crew

Within the Convention Services Team, the Event Set up Crew is responsible for the set up and tear down of function rooms and spaces specifically tables, chairs, drapery, decorations, tablecloths and cleaning.

What will you be doing:

• Ensure that all rooms and functions are setup and completed accurately in accordance with the Event order.
• Ensure that tables, chairs, stages, moveable walls are kept in good working condition and returned to their appropriate storage place.
• Set up poles and drapery for trade shows.
• Ensure the proper placement of AV equipment.
• Perform other duties as required by the Convention Services Supervisor.

What We're Looking For? 

• Relevant work experience considered an asset.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Standing for an extended amount of time.
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
• Must be consistent in making sure that detail is followed when setting up rooms.
• Ability to handle constant changes to satisfy the customer's needs.

This is a seasonal part-time position. Starting ASAP until approx. Jan 31 2027. 

Hours vary depending on business needs days/evenings/overnights and weekend shifts required. 

Payrate: $17.60/h as a base rate plus $4.50/h in gratuities
