Our mobile apps are evolving into a unified cross-platform experience built on Flutter, powered by native Android (Kotlin) and iOS (Swift) capabilities. We're also embracing the future of software development — including AI-assisted coding, test automation, and intelligent development workflows.
What We're Looking For:
We're seeking a creative and technology-driven individual with a solid Android development background and a genuine interest in cross-platform mobile development. You should be eager to learn, solve complex problems, and thrive in an Agile environment while delivering high-quality, high-performance mobile apps and SDKs.
Ideally, You Should Have:
- 2+ years of Android development experience, with strong expertise in Kotlin and Android development tools (Android Studio, ADB, Emulators).
- Solid understanding of the Android SDK and mobile application lifecycle, with experience in dependency management (e.g., Gradle) and mobile distribution processes (e.g., Google Play).
- Experience designing and developing native mobile applications and/or SDKs.
- Experience working with RESTful APIs to connect apps to back-end services.
- The ability to write unit, integration, and functional tests to ensure code quality and coverage.
- Good knowledge of multithreaded programming and algorithmic thinking.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
Bonus Points For:
- Experience with Flutter or other cross-platform development frameworks, including widget testing.
- Experience developing or integrating native mobile SDKs.
- Knowledge of iOS development or Swift.
- AI-Native Development — AI coding tools (Copilot, Cursor) are already part of your workflow, with practical outcomes to show for it. Prompt engineering or agent-based workflows are a strong plus.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- A portfolio of past projects (e.g., on GitHub, Bitbucket, or similar platforms).
What You'll Do:
- Contribute to the development and evolution of our unified Bitdefender app — a cross-platform Flutter application backed by native Android (Kotlin) and iOS (Swift) capabilities.
- Develop, maintain, and improve native mobile SDKs that power the Bitdefender app.
- Write and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and widget tests to ensure robust code coverage and quality.
- Apply AI-assisted development workflows in your daily practice — using tools like GitHub Copilot or Cursor for code generation, test scaffolding, and code review acceleration.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, UX designers, QA engineers, and other developers in an Agile Scrum environment.
- Continuously evaluate and implement new tools, frameworks, and technologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our development process.
