THE POSITION:

Front Desk Associate – Check-in/Check-out

· Greets every patient with a smile and takes ownership of all patients’ needs at the front desk.

· Checks in and checks out patients via the practice management system and schedules new appointments as directed by the provider.

· Assist patients with the completion of all needed documents, insurance card collection, insurance updates, payments, onboarding, and general questions and accurately updates the patient chart with info when needed.

· Works closely with the billing department to ensure accuracy with co-pays, deductibles, and any other related charges and ensures proper collection of charges at time of visit.

· Assists in contacting patients who are due for follow-up visits.

· Assist patients with their online portal registration and questions.

· Responsible for maintaining a clean and tidy lobby and check out area.

· Responsible for maintaining accurate cash handling, cash collection and end of day reconciliations.

· Complies with all HIPAA and OSHA policy.

· Assist patients with additional services needed at time of check out such as FMLA requests, questions, directives, etc....

· Works closely with Medical Assistants in clinic to ensure all patient needs are addressed in a timely manner.

· Assists with additional business projects and departments when collaboration is needed.

· Other assorted medical front office duties including assistance of check in process when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

· Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent and experience in a health care front desk environment is a plus.

· Must demonstrate consistent professional conduct and meticulous attention to detail.

· Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.

· Critical thinking skills and a positive attitude essential.

· Travel to any of the Urology Nevada locations may be necessary upon request.
