    Job description

    Overview

Blackhawk Network (BHN) is seeking a seasoned Manager, Demand Generation to lead a high-performing team responsible for generating qualified pipeline and measurable revenue impact across key lines of business.

As a first-line people manager in the Demand Generation job family, this role will lead a pod of demand generation specialists and provide the strategic direction, coaching, and operational rigor required to deliver integrated, multi-channel programs. The Manager will be accountable for campaign quality, team performance, funnel contribution, and continuous improvement across paid media, lifecycle and email marketing, events, webinars, content, partner programs, account-based marketing, and web-driven campaigns.

Reporting to the Director, Demand Generation, this is a senior player-coach role that balances people leadership with hands-on ownership of campaign strategy, planning, measurement, optimization, and executive-ready reporting. The successful candidate will be a confident and polished presenter who can clearly communicate in English, demonstrate command of the topics they present, and translate complex marketing performance into concise business recommendations.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of relevant B2B marketing experience, including experience working with Google and LinkedIn channels, planning and measuring integrated campaigns, and managing people. They will be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment; owning ambitious pipeline and sales-qualified opportunity targets; and translating go-to-market strategy into disciplined execution and measurable commercial outcomes.

    Responsibilities

    Leadership and People Management

    • Lead, coach, and develop a team of demand generation specialists through clear objectives, regular one-on-one meetings, actionable feedback, performance reviews, and individualized development plans.

    • Establish a high-performance culture focused on qualified pipeline, sales-qualified opportunities, revenue contribution, operational excellence, and continuous learning.

    • Set priorities, allocate resources, and manage workloads across the team to ensure high-quality delivery against deadlines, service-level expectations, and stakeholder commitments.

    • Provide day-to-day direction while empowering team members to own their work, make informed decisions, and build expertise in demand generation strategy and execution.

    • Recruit, onboard, retain, and develop talent in partnership with HR and marketing leadership; support career progression, succession planning, and promotion recommendations.

    • Serve as a role model for clear communication, accountability, collaboration, and thoughtful decision-making in a changing business environment.

Demand Generation Strategy and Integrated Campaign Execution

    • Design and lead integrated B2B demand generation strategies across paid media, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, email and lifecycle marketing, events, webinars, content, partner programs, ABM, and web campaigns.

    • Translate business and go-to-market priorities into campaign strategies aligned to ICPs, personas, buying committees, segments, regions, and funnel stages.

    • Partner with Strategic Marketing, Product Marketing, Sales, SDR leadership, Marketing Operations, Analytics, Paid Media, Content, Events, and Web teams to align objectives, messaging, offers, audiences, budgets, and handoffs.

    • Oversee the development and execution of campaign briefs, integrated project plans, channel calendars, launch plans, and optimization roadmaps.

    • Ensure every campaign has a clear hypothesis, audience strategy, value proposition, conversion path, measurement framework, and documented owner for each major deliverable.

    • Maintain message and experience continuity across channels, from initial awareness through engagement, conversion, sales follow-up, and post-campaign nurture.

    • Bring a hands-on perspective to campaign planning and execution, stepping in to resolve strategic, operational, or cross-functional issues when needed.

Presentation, Stakeholder Communication, and Topic Ownership

    • Present campaign strategies, performance results, recommendations, risks, and next steps to marketing, sales, and executive stakeholders with clarity, confidence, and strong command of the subject matter.

    • Build and deliver polished presentations in English that communicate complex marketing concepts and performance insights in a concise, compelling, and business-oriented manner.

    • Demonstrate ownership of the topics presented, including the ability to explain strategic rationale, interpret performance data, answer detailed questions, and make informed recommendations.

    • Lead campaign kickoffs, performance reviews, business updates, and post-campaign readouts that create alignment and drive timely decisions.

    • Tailor communication to different audiences, from campaign practitioners and channel owners to senior marketing and sales leaders.

    • Communicate status, dependencies, risks, decisions, and escalations proactively and professionally.

    Performance Measurement, Analytics, and Optimization

    • Own performance management across the team’s portfolio of campaigns, including pipeline, sales-qualified opportunities, conversion rates, cost efficiency, engagement, velocity, and ROI.

    • Establish measurement plans and reporting requirements for every campaign, including consistent definitions for MQLs, SALs, SQLs, SQOs, pipeline, revenue contribution, and key funnel conversion metrics.

    • Partner with Marketing Operations and Analytics to maintain a consistent weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting cadence.

    • Translate performance data into actionable insights and clear recommendations for channel mix, audience targeting, budget allocation, creative, messaging, offers, landing-page experiences, and nurture paths.

    • Lead a test-and-learn approach across Google, LinkedIn, email, events, content, and other channels; document hypotheses, results, learnings, and follow-up actions.

    • Identify performance gaps and create structured optimization plans that improve campaign effectiveness and commercial impact.

    • Ensure reporting is accurate, comparable, timely, and presented in an executive-ready format.

    Process, Tools, and Cross-Functional Operations

    • Champion consistent use of core marketing systems, including marketing automation, CRM, Workfront or other project-management platforms, advertising platforms, dashboards, and analytics tools.

    • Partner with Marketing Operations and system administrators to improve workflows, templates, intake forms, campaign governance, routing rules, and reporting processes.

    • Drive disciplined campaign planning, QA, launch readiness, lead management, stakeholder communication, and post-mortem practices across the team.

    • Develop and reinforce repeatable playbooks for campaign intake, audience definition, briefing, channel activation, measurement, optimization, and retrospectives.

    • Maintain clear documentation of campaign decisions, assumptions, dependencies, performance results, and lessons learned.

    • Coordinate effectively across global and regional teams to adapt campaigns for market needs while preserving strategic consistency and measurement integrity.

    Qualifications

    Required

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

    • 3+ years of direct people management experience, including coaching, performance management, workload planning, and talent development.

    • Proven experience designing, executing, measuring, and optimizing multi-channel B2B campaigns across paid media, email, events, webinars, content, partner programs, ABM, and web experiences.

    • Hands-on experience with, or strong operational ownership of, Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads in a B2B marketing environment, whether executed directly or through agency and channel partners.

    • Demonstrated ability to build campaign measurement plans, interpret funnel and revenue data, and connect marketing activity to pipeline, SQOs, and business outcomes.

    • Demonstrated ability to present confidently and professionally in English, with strong verbal communication, executive presence, and the ability to explain and defend recommendations.

    • Strong topic ownership, including the ability to lead discussions, answer detailed questions, and demonstrate command of campaign strategy, channel performance, and measurement methodology.
