Job Purpose:
Unlock commercial value from the organisation’s data assets by identifying, developing, and scaling revenue-generating opportunities across products, strategic partnerships, and operational efficiencies. This role operates at the intersection of data science, product development, and commercial strategy, with clear accountability for transforming data insights into measurable outcomes, including revenue growth, margin improvement, and the creation of new business lines.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Monetisation & Revenue Growth
- Develop and implement a comprehensive data commercialisation strategy aligned to business objectives
- Identify and prioritise opportunities for:
- New revenue generation (e.g. data products, APIs, partnerships)
- Internal optimisation (e.g. pricing enhancements, customer targeting, revenue assurance)
- Define and execute pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategies for data-driven solutions
- Build robust business cases and continuously track and report on ROI for all initiatives
Product & Platform Development
- Define and own the data product roadmap in alignment with business priorities
- Translate business requirements into actionable deliverables, including:
- Data products, Customer-facing features, Platform capabilities
- Collaborate cross-functionally to design, develop, and launch scalable data products
- Oversee the full product lifecycle, from concept and pilot phases through to full-scale implementation
Commercial Insights & Decisioning
Drive key analytics initiatives, including:
- Customer segmentation, Pricing optimisation, Behavioural insights
- Translate data-driven insights into clear commercial actions that deliver measurable performance improvements
- Partner with senior leadership to embed and champion data-driven decision-making across the organisation
Revenue Assurance & Optimisation
- Identify opportunities related to revenue leakage and cost inefficiencies
- Implement data-driven initiatives to improve margins and enhance operational efficiency
- Drive strategies aimed at increasing yield per customer through targeted optimisation efforts
Partnerships & Ecosystem Monetisation
- Identify opportunities to package and commercialise data for external use
- Establish and develop strategic partnerships across key sectors, including retail, FMCG, financial services, and telecommunications
- Structure and execute commercial models such as data licensing and insights-as-a-service offerings
- Manage commercial relationships, including deal structuring, negotiation, and ongoing partnership governance
Data Strategy & Governance Alignment
- Ensure all data initiatives are aligned with the overall business strategy and priorities
- Maintain compliance with applicable data privacy regulations and promote ethical data usage practices
- Support the development and enhancement of scalable data infrastructure and high-quality, business-ready datasets

Education & Experience:
- 8 to 12+ years of experience spanning data analytics/data science and product or commercial strategy
- Engineering / Data Science / Actuarial / Statistics / Economics / Business
- MBA or equivalent (advantageous but not essential)
- Experience working with large-scale transactional datasets and deriving actionable insights from complex data environments
- Proven track record of delivering measurable commercial impact, including revenue growth and margin improvement
