Product Lead: BluNova
We are searching for an experienced Product Lead: BluNova at our Capital Hill Sandton facility.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Purpose:
To support the AltBureau function in delivering value to internal and external clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Visualisation and tracking of BU’s digital roadmaps and project streams.
Ongoing visualisation and tracking of BU's digital roadmaps and project plans to drive sustainable transformation, aligned to business strategy. This includes identifying tech-enabled opportunities and mapping a clear path to this value for the business:
- Conduct research and develop insights relevant to identified digital business concepts/initiatives.
- Incubate business innovation / digital business concepts by developing suitable prototypes and orchestrating the development of minimum viable products for internal and external parties.
- Validate (measure and test) prototypes / minimum viable products against KPIs using quantitative and qualitative criteria.
- Provide input into the development and updating of innovation cases that are feasible, desirable and sustainable.
- Coordinate with Technology delivery and project teams to convert MVPs into sustainable, integrated BLT solutions.
End-to-End Project Delivery
- Manage the full project lifecycle from initiation to closing, ensuring all deliverables meet quality standards and are signed off by relevant stakeholders.
- Defining and managing project scope, identifying potential "scope creep" and implementing formal change control processes where necessary.
- Coordinate resource allocation across multiple project streams identifying capacity constraints and ensuring bottlenecks are dealt with.
- Proactively identify, document, and manage project risks and issues to prevent timeline slippage.
- Maintain transparency by reporting on project progress via weekly reporting and stakeholder alignment sessions.
Translate digital strategy into plans for delivery
Work with the business and other key stakeholders to define the implementation requirements for digital delivery, including:
- Customer segment and digital channel analysis
- Building economic models and business cases
- Sourcing technology solutions
- Identifying and building strategic partnerships
- Data sourcing and analysis
Linking digital strategy to enterprise architecture
- Collaborate with the enterprise architecture team to ensure digital strategy and plans are supported by a viable solutions architecture. This includes exploring the market to build vs. buy solutions, supporting procurement, establishing development and rolling out the approach, and managing design, deployment, and integration.
Collaborate with and manage multiple parties
- Coordinate and collaborate with multiple parties to enable digital innovation and delivery. This includes Business Units (CEOs, CIOs or COOs, Product Development, Project Portfolio Office, Customer / Channel representative, Business Analysts, Product owners), Group Technology (Architecture, Digital delivery team, Technical Programme Office), BluNova (for data analytics and decisioning), BI Team (for management information) and relevant external partners.

Education and Experience:
- BSc in Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering or Computer Science.
- Post graduate specialisation in the fields of BI, Informatics, Accounting or Business Administration is advantageous.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Qualification is advantageous.
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role. Experience in digital transformation roles in telecommunications, banking, ICT businesses or consulting.
- Verifiable evidence of hands-on experience in leading and deploying digital business improvement initiatives
