We are currently seeking a skilled and dependable CDL Driver Class A to support our underground utility operations. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a variety of commercial vehicles and be capable of safely transporting equipment and materials to and from job sites. A strong commitment to safety, compliance, and punctuality is essential.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles including flatbeds, dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and refrigerated trailers.
- Transport tools, equipment, and materials to job sites in a timely and efficient manner.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other appropriate equipment.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation.
- Conduct basic maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues.
- Comply with all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
- Maintain accurate logs for mileage, deliveries, hours of service, fuel usage, and inspections.
- Assist underground utility crews with on-site material handling when needed.
Qualifications & Experience
- Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) – Class A.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in underground utility work required.
- Experience with automotive repair is a plus.
- Familiarity with operating heavy equipment is preferred.
- Clean driving record and current DOT medical card.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor conditions.
