We also work in coastal modelling, adaptation planning, nature-based coastal protection, dredging design and project delivery, port engineering and offshore wind.
Join our Coastal and Maritime team at Perth as a Graduate Dredging and Coastal Engineer. We are seeking Graduate Engineers to support the delivery of dredging, coastal and marine engineering projects under the guidance of experienced engineers and project managers.
This position is for a dredging and coastal graduate consultant with interest in dredging & reclamation area conceptual designs, dredging production & Costing models for assessing dredging projects, project coordination to deliver dredging projects and coastal engineering.
This position is open to both recent and upcoming graduates.
Depending on your area of expertise, in this role you will:
- Contribute to a diverse range of Dredging and coastal projects Including delivery of dredging, coastal and marine engineering projects to scope and within time, cost and quality requirements for private and public sector clients.
- Contribute to dredging feasibility studies including dredging and reclamation conceptual designs, dredging and disposal placement methodologies, risk assessment, operability assessment, dredging productions and costings models.
- Apply standard engineering principles, procedures and methodologies to support dredging, coastal and marine engineering projects.
- Be part of a cross-discipline team, working with coastal engineers, environmental scientists, GIS and approvals specialists.
- Assist with data analysis and numerical modelling
- Create a professional network across Australia, UK and Singapore where similar projects are supported
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Coastal Engineering, Marine Engineering or other relevant area of study
- An interest in dredging, coastal engineering, marine infrastructure or environmental management projects
- A basic understanding of coastal and marine environments and processes, including sediment transport, coastal dynamics and marine systems
- Exposure to tools like GIS, CAD, MATLAB, or project management tools
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working within the engineering/consulting sector including experience with proposals and directly managing customers or external stakeholders
