JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor, test, and document chemical concentrations to ensure the proper cleaning and sanitization of equipment.
- Clean and sanitize silo tanks, vats, processing lines, fillers, and other designated plant equipment and areas.
- Complete all required production, sanitation, and quality documentation accurately and timely.
- Perform preventive maintenance activities as assigned.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and company policies.
- Adhere to all safety, security, and food safety requirements.
- Wear and properly utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Support compliance with all regulatory, customer, and Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards and requirements.
- Maintain regular attendance and dependable work habits.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or food production environment preferred; high-volume manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and various shifts as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English; capable of performing basic mathematical calculations and accurately recording data.
- Bilingual skills are beneficial.
- Ability to read, understand, and apply information from Safety Data Sheets (SDS), equipment manuals, cleaning specifications, and technical documents.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Frequently required to stand, walk, kneel, bend, climb, reach, pull, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
- Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to work in cold, wet, humid, and fast-paced manufacturing environments for extended periods.
- May be required to work at heights and in confined spaces while following all safety procedures.
- Must be able to wear required PPE and work safely around chemicals used in sanitation processes.
