We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Inventory Control Manager to join our team in Norman, United States. In this role, you will oversee all inventory operations, manage warehouse staff, and implement systems to optimize stock levels and ensure accuracy. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical abilities, decisive leadership, and a commitment to operational excellence. You will be responsible for maintaining efficient inventory processes, analyzing performance metrics, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support organizational goals.
- Oversee daily inventory operations, including receiving, storage, and distribution of materials and products
- Manage and supervise warehouse staff, providing training, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities
- Implement and maintain inventory control systems and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies to maintain data integrity
- Analyze inventory data and trends to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization
- Utilize inventory management systems and tools to track stock movements and generate performance reports
- Develop and enforce inventory policies and best practices to minimize waste and maximize efficiency
- Coordinate with procurement, supply chain, and operations teams to forecast demand and manage stock replenishment
- Conduct regular audits and quality checks to ensure warehouse organization and product condition
- Prepare and present inventory metrics, KPIs, and recommendations to senior management
- Identify and implement process improvements using lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards within the warehouse environment
- 3-5 years of professional experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or supply chain roles
- Proficiency with inventory management systems and warehouse management software (WMS)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities with attention to detail
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing and motivating warehouse or operations teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
- Knowledge of inventory optimization techniques and forecasting methods
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as SAP or Oracle
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
- Professional certification such as APICS CPIM or CSCP
- Background in supply chain management or logistics
- Experience implementing process improvements and system upgrades
