Staff Counsel, Corporate and Compliance

Boston Dynamics is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Associate Counsel, Corporate & Compliance, to join our Legal team. Reporting directly to the Assistant General Counsel, Compliance, this attorney will play a pivotal role in supporting compliance initiatives, corporate governance, and subsidiary management across the organization.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative legal professional eager to build deep expertise across a broad range of regulatory frameworks—including data, privacy, labor and employment, corporate governance, industry-specific mandates and general compliance and ethics—while maintaining our global corporate structure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the execution, oversight, and continuous enhancement of key compliance programs, including sanctions compliance, EU regulatory frameworks, and general corporate regulations.
• Research emerging regulatory standards, assess operational impacts, and assist in drafting clear, actionable policies across the company.
• Help design and deliver regulatory compliance training for employees, including onboarding modules and ongoing refresher sessions.
• Assist with response management, documentation, and reporting for internal safety reviews and audits.
• Prepare and assist with the distribution of Board and Shareholder materials, including quarterly packets and annual statements.
• Support financing matters and capital transactions by managing due diligence processes and drafting relevant documentation.
• Assist with the management and administration of the Company’s total rewards and employee stock option plans.
• Organize and maintain domestic and international corporate records.
• Oversee legal maintenance for domestic and international subsidiaries, including foreign entity registrations, annual filings, and good standing certificates.
• Provide direct support to the General Counsel and Assistant General Counsel on ad-hoc corporate, commercial, and research matters.
• Assist with internal reviews, audits, and compliance risk assessments.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school.
• 5+ years of relevant corporate law or compliance experience.
• Exceptional written communication and presentation skills.
• Admitted to practice law in good standing in at least one U.S. state; eligible for admission to the Massachusetts Bar if not currently admitted.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with a collaborative mindset suited for a fast-paced environment.
• Proven track record of managing competing priorities and meeting tight deadlines effectively.
• Strong enthusiasm for robotics and joining a high-growth technology company.

The base pay range for this position is between $160,000.00 to $195,000.00 annually. Base pay will depend on multiple individualized factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This range represents a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Boston Dynamics offers a generous Benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and an annual bonus structure.
