Technical Operations & Client Success Manager - Australia

Location: Melbourne-based, with travel to Boxbar sites and events across Australia
Contract: Full-time
Reports to: VP of Operations
Salary: AUD $100,000 - $130,000 base, plus superannuation
Working pattern: Flexible to meet the needs of installations, sports fixtures and live events, including occasional evenings and weekends

About the role

Boxbar Tech is growing across Australia and needs a trusted person on the ground to lead operational delivery and client success at all Australian sites. You’ll make sure installations and live events run well, our technology is supported and clients have a reliable local point of contact.

Based in Melbourne, you’ll directly manage the technicians working with Boxbar in Australia, coordinate additional specialist and event support when needed and work closely with colleagues in the UK. This is a hands-on management role: you’ll be present at key sites and events, understand the equipment well enough to oversee setup and first-line troubleshooting and know when to involve specialist support.

What you’ll do

• Own operational delivery and day-to-day client support across all Australian sites.
• Plan and oversee installations, activations, maintenance and event operations.
• Manage, schedule and develop Boxbar’s Australian technicians, sourcing additional technicians and event support as the operation grows.
• Build strong relationships with clients and venue teams, respond to issues and keep stakeholders informed.
• Attend key sites and events to check readiness, support teams and resolve problems quickly.
• Maintain clear records of equipment, site requirements, incidents, costs and follow-up actions.
• Establish reliable local processes and standards that can scale with Boxbar’s Australian business.

About you

You’ve led technical or field operations in live events, venues, hospitality, dispense systems or a similar hands-on environment. You’re confident managing technicians and contractors, dealing directly with clients and making practical decisions under pressure.

You’re comfortable working independently across time zones and travelling when the work requires it. Event schedules vary, so you can flex your working pattern around delivery while keeping organised and clients well supported.
