The role will primarily support PostgreSQL databases across production and non-production environments while also working with other database technologies such as SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, Redis, Kafka, and emerging database platforms as required.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, review, and optimize complex SQL, PL/SQL, PL/pgSQL, stored procedures, functions, triggers, packages, and database-side business logic.
- Analyze existing SQL and PL/SQL code and identify opportunities for performance improvement, simplification, and scalability.
- Perform query execution-plan analysis and optimize poorly performing SQL using indexing, query rewriting, partitioning, statistics, configuration tuning, and appropriate database design.
- Support development teams in designing efficient database access patterns and resolving database-related application performance issues.
- Review database code before production deployment and provide recommendations regarding performance, maintainability, concurrency, and scalability.
- Develop reusable database utilities, functions, procedures, and automation components where appropriate.
- Exposure to database technologies such as ClickHouse, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, distributed PostgreSQL, columnar databases, or other modern data platforms.
