Particulars:
Full Time - Receptionist *See attached job description*
Monday – Friday 7.5 hours/ day
May require some overtime.
Duties:
- Answer the telephone, check voicemail and deal appropriately with each call;
- Schedule appointments on the computer system;
- Show patients to the examining rooms and prepare for the examination;
- Clean and stock examining rooms; maintain a neat working environment;
- Process all medical reports and correspondence that arrives at the station, including inputting of information into the patient’s computerized medical record;
- Perform procedures pertinent to physician’s needs, such as weighing patients, witnessing surgical consent, etc;
- Patient instruction and education;
- Chaperone physician’s examinations when requested;
- Perform other related duties as required;
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
Requirements:
- Ability to deal with physicians, staff and public in a courteous and effective manner
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in computer systems and medical record management.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Preferred Qualifications: Salary:
Previous job related experience As per C.U.P.E. Union Contract
