Position Summary
DayBreak Adult Daycare is seeking compassionate and dependable Direct Care Staff I (DCS I) to support seniors and adults with disabilities in a structured, engaging, and supportive daytime environment. This role focuses on hands‑on care, participant engagement, and maintaining a safe, respectful atmosphere for all participants.
This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about caregiving and interested in growing within an adult day care setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct support and supervision to participants throughout the day
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) while promoting independence and dignity
- Support and participate in group activities, social engagement, and therapeutic programming
- Observe, document, and report changes in participant condition or behavior
- Maintain accurate daily documentation in accordance with agency policy
- Ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment for participants
- Follow infection control, safety, and emergency procedures
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Promote teamwork and positive interactions with participants and staff
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Education, Experience & Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Preferrably a Nurse or Social Worker
- CPR / First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass background check and health screening
- Experience working with seniors or adults with disabilities preferred, but not required
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position
