International Study Programs Assistant - part-time/28 hrs per week

The International Study Programs Assistant supports Program Coordinators with the planning and administration of international study programs serving more than 400 students annually. This position assists with travel logistics, visa processes, student preparation, events, marketing, and general program administration while working with faculty directors and campus partners.

What you’ll do in this position:

· Research visa requirements and assist students with the visa process

· Research accommodations, transportation, cultural sites, and other international travel logistics

· Make reservations for accommodations, transportation, and site visits as directed

· Research internship opportunities and maintain relationships with internship placements

· Assist students with travel preparation, required travel information, and program communications

· Support student and faculty training and preparation activities

· Assist with study abroad events, fairs, marketing, and website content

· Support program payments, budgets, and other administrative functions

· Assist with program emergencies, schedule changes, and other time-sensitive needs

What qualifies you for this role:

Required:

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent university work experience

· Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks

· Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and database software

· Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills

· Ability to maintain confidentiality

· Ability to take direction and work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Preferred:

· Bachelor’s degree plus two years of university work experience, or equivalent experience

· Previous participation in a BYU International Study Program

· Experience with and understanding of BYU policies and international programs

Desired Skills:

· Strong research and problem-solving skills

· Excellent attention to detail and follow-through

· Ability to manage multiple programs, priorities, and deadlines

· Ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, and external partners

· Flexibility in responding to changing travel and program needs

· Interest in international education and cross-cultural experiences

Pay Grade: 48

Typical Starting Pay: $20.75-$33.50

The actual compensation offered will take into consideration internal equity and may vary based on the candidate’s job-related experience, knowledge, skills, and other relevant factors. Candidates with very significant work-related experience may receive an offer higher than the posted typical range.
