The Maintenance Technician will support the objectives of production through the Maintenance function by the implementation of assigned tasks, supplying continuity between engineering and managerial functions. Maintains (through preventative maintenance) repairs and troubleshoots mechanical and electrical systems for production equipment. This position is for 2nd Shift 3:30pm - 12:00AM, Monday-Friday. Essential Functions/Responsibilities Performs hands-on maintenance tasks according to set production maintenance priorities, including repairing and troubleshooting of all equipment and support systems for the facility.
Also, assists with the repair and maintenance of the physical structure. Supervises maintenance contractors, when required. Maintains a Maintenance Action Log, by a piece of equipment, in order to track individual repairs, and serve as a baseline for future preventive maintenance. Participates in startup and shutdown activities, as required. Assists with Shutdown Task planning and scheduling. Works with vendors / OEM to obtain parts pricing and repair recommendations for process equipment and systems.
Incorporates safe practices while completing assigned maintenance work order activities. Maintains the Maintenance Department work area. Cleans-up after each task, and on a daily basis, performs care for tools and proper storage of supplies. Complies with all Company, Local, State, and Federal rules and regulations in regard to Health, Safety, and the Environment. Other duties may be assigned or current duties modified/changed.
