Application Administrator
Office of Information Technology
The Application Administrator in the Office of Information Technology (OIT) directly supports the technology needs of several divisions of Brown University, including Dining Services, Residential Life, and several additional auxiliary departments. The Application Administrator will serve as the primary employee supporting the computer systems and their day-to-day operations for the departments.

The Application Administrator is responsible for administering the suite of applications used across our diverse customer base. They work in concert with departmental staff who run the operations of their units. They are responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the department, including tier 1 triage of problems. They additionally support the contract process and security questions.
While supporting the applications the Application Administrator will look to evaluate existing systems, make recommendations for improvements, streamline processes and procedures, and serve as a resource to technical and non-technical users of these applications.
The Application Administrator is required to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation schedule. While on-call, they must be available to answer calls/emails after normal working hours and on weekends/holidays depending on the rotation order. Because this role supports departments that directly serve students, the Application Administrator may occasionally be required to work outside of standard business hours.
