    Position Summary

    The Order Fulfillment Connector BMID is responsible for driving collaboration, standardization, and operational excellence across the global BMID Order Fulfillment organization.

    Acting as the global functional connector, this role builds and leads the BMID Order Fulfillment Network, identifies and deploys best practices, harmonizes processes, and drives continuous improvement initiatives across sites.

    The role focuses on improving customer service performance, operational efficiency, process consistency, and scalability by leveraging the collective expertise of Order Fulfillment teams throughout BMID.

    In addition, the role leads or supports strategic Order Fulfillment and customer service transformation projects and may include direct leadership responsibility for Order Fulfillment teams.

    Responsibilities

    Global Order Fulfillment Network Leadership

    • Build and maintain a strong BMID-wide Order Fulfillment Network.
    • Facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing across Order Fulfillment teams and sites.
    • Promote alignment of priorities, processes, and improvement initiatives throughout the organization.
    • Serve as the functional focal point for Order Fulfillment-related topics across BMID.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, customer focus, and continuous improvement.

    Order Fulfillment Excellence & Standardization

    • Establish and maintain BMID-wide Order Fulfillment standards, processes, and governance.
    • Drive harmonization of Order Fulfillment workflows across sites where beneficial.
    • Define, implement, and continuously improve best practices for: Order management, Customer communication, Backorder management, Customer issue resolution
    • Promote standard KPI definitions, reporting structures, and review processes.
    • Ensure transparency and consistency of Order Fulfillment activities across the organization.

    Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

    • Drive operational excellence initiatives across the global Order Fulfillment organization.
    • Identify process inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
    • Implement Lean and continuous improvement methodologies where appropriate.
    • Improve process efficiency, scalability, and customer responsiveness.
    • Support development of sustainable and standardized operating models.

    Order Fulfillment Transformation

    • Lead BMID-wide initiatives to improve customer experience and service performance.
    • Support the evolution of Order Fulfillment organizations toward more proactive customer care models where beneficial.
    • Drive digitalization, automation, and process simplification initiatives.
    • Support ERP, planning, and process integration projects impacting Order Fulfillment.
    • Promote adoption of common tools, systems, and working methods across sites.

    Strategic Projects

    • Lead or support cross-functional Order Fulfillment projects across BMID.
    • Coordinate Order Fulfillment activities during integration, transfer, and transformation initiatives.
    • Support implementation of new business processes and organizational models.
    • Share lessons learned and best practices between sites and divisions.
    • Ensure alignment of stakeholders and successful execution of project objectives.

    Performance Management

    • Establish and monitor BMID-wide Order Fulfillment KPIs.
    • Drive performance improvement initiatives related to: On-Time Delivery, Backorder, Order Cycle Time
    • Facilitate regular cross-site performance reviews.
    • Identify improvement opportunities and support implementation of corrective actions.

    Team Leadership

    • Provide functional leadership and coaching across the BMID Order Fulfillment organization.
    • Support capability development and sharing of expertise across teams.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
    • Where applicable, directly lead Order Fulfillment teams and managers.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
    • 8+ years of experience in Order Fulfillment, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Planning, or Operations.
    • Proven experience in multi-site and cross-functional environments.
    • Strong background in process improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
    • Experience leading transformation and change management projects.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Experience with ERP systems and Order Management processes.
    • Experience in regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
    • Fluency in English required.
