Business Operations & Analytics, Associate

Job Purpose:

BTIG is seeking a Business Analyst with strong SQL skills to join our Business Operations and Analytics Team, where you will directly support firmwide operations by gathering and defining business requirements, analyzing complex data sets, and delivering clear, actionable reporting.  The ideal candidate is technically fluent in data environments and deeply understands how information is sourced, transformed, maintained, and delivered to support business outcomes.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Leverage demonstrated SQL proficiency to analyze large, complex datasets and extract meaningful insights.
• Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards using tools such as PowerBI and SSRS
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and deliver technical solutions
• Follow existing processes and create new ones to enhance firm efficiency
• Provide support to the firm through excellent data management and analysis
• Adapt to evolving tools and technologies, proactively building proficiency in new platforms as business needs arise
• Create and maintain positive relationships with other departments
• Create and maintain technical documentation for reports, data flows, and business logic

Requirements & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in a Business Analyst or similar analytical role
• Advanced SQL skills for data querying and manipulation
• Proven ability to work with and manage large data sets
• Comfortable and experienced with reporting tools such as PowerBI and SSRS
• Demonstrate independence and initiative, with a strong track record of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
• Adept at diagnosing complex problems, developing practical solutions, and clearly communicating findings to stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in financial services preferred

Compensation: 

• BTIG offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Salary range is based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, years of applicable experience, skills, qualifications, licensure and certifications, and other business and organization needs.
• The current estimated base salary range for this role is $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year. Please note that certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus or overtime.
