Utility Technician

We are looking for an Offshore Utility Technician to join BW Offshore's Offshore FPSO - Catcher.

The position is part of the offshore Maintenance Team and reports to the Maintenance Superintendent.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain boiler water, feedwater, and cooling system quality in line with DREW recommendations and marine best practices
• Operate and maintain freshwater generators, Mitsubishi dual fuel boilers, and Low Pressure Steam Generator (LPSG) systems
• Maintain Wartsila W12V32 essential diesel engines and associated equipment
  Monitor and maintain engine room utility systems, including cooling, compressed air, lube oil, diesel oil, bilge, sludge, and sewage systems
• Plan and execute corrective and planned maintenance, logging work and spare parts usage in the CMMS (IFS)
• Prepare and manage Work Permits via the Electronic Permit to Work System (Enablon)
  Raise purchase requisitions and help maintain adequate spare parts stock for utility systems
  Coordinate with other departments on maintenance and operational activities within the engine room
• Ensure safe and effective management of vendors and contractors
  

Qualifications:

• 3 to 5 years of experience as Marine Engineer on Crude/Product Tankers with relevant marine systems.
• Alternatively, 3 to 5 years of experience in similar positions on FPSOs or FSOs
• Training according to matrix requirements 

Skills:

• Good knowledge of Marine Boilers and Marine medium speed engines will be an advantage.
• Good inter-personal and communications skills.
