We have an exciting opportunity for you to join a dental sedation practice with a culture of putting our pediatric dental patients first. We are a dental practice that offers general anesthesia in-office to treat our young patients in a timely and stress-free manner. Our practice model allows us to complete all necessary dental treatments in a single appointment, ensuring the treatment is performed safely without causing any lasting anxiety for the child. With a dedicated surgical suite, we are seeking a Paramedic EMT with pediatric experience to care for our pediatric dental patients during their in-office GA sedation appointment. Job Summary and Qualifications:
Paramedic EMT with pediatric experience to care for our pediatric dental patients during their in-office GA sedation appointment.

What you will do in this role:

We are seeking a skilled, compassionate and experienced Paramedic EMT to join our team, where you will play a crucial role in caring for pediatric dental patients during their in-office general anesthesia sedation appointment.

• Prepare pediatric patients' care area adequately and ensure necessary equipment and supplies are ready.
• Demonstrate proper airway management techniques.
• Monitor pediatric patients according to policy (vital signs, temperature, cardiac, etc)
• Exhibit proper technique for insertion, maintenance, and removal of IV catheters.
• Perform and document thorough evaluation pediatric patients utilizing an approved scoring system in line with policy and procedure.
• Check dressings and operative sites of your patients and report abnormalities to the dentist/surgeon.
• Provide a safe and comforting environment for both patients and families.
• Ensure patients meet discharge criteria.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years experience as an EMT with pediatric experience
• EMT license is required by state of employment
• Required valid BCLS Certification upon employment. online certification not acceptable
• ACLS required
• PALS as required by facility
