Geneticist

<p style="text-align:justify;">The selected candidate will conduct genetic research, analyze DNA and genetic data, perform laboratory testing, interpret results, and contribute to the diagnosis and understanding of inherited conditions. They will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, maintain accurate records, and support research and innovation while ensuring compliance with laboratory quality and safety standards.</p><p style="text-align:justify;"><br></p><p style="line-height: 15pt; text-align: left;"><b><u>What you will be doing:</u></b></p><p style="margin: 12pt 0cm 0.0001pt 18pt; background: white; text-align: left;">Review, interpret, and validate genetic test results, including molecular and cytogenetic investigations.</p><p style="margin: 12pt 0cm 0.0001pt 18pt; background: white; text-align: left;">Provide clinical interpretation of genetic variants in accordance with international guidelines.</p><p style="margin: 12pt 0cm 0.0001pt 18pt; background: white; text-align: left;">Collaborate with clinicians, embryologists, laboratory scientists, and other healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and management.</p><p style="margin: 12pt 0cm 0.0001pt 18pt; background: white; text-align: left;">Contribute to the development and implementation of new genetic tests and services.</p><p style="margin: 12pt 0cm 0.0001pt 18pt; background: white; text-align: left;">Participate in quality assurance, accreditation, and continuous improvement activities.</p><p style="margin: 12pt 0cm 0.0001pt 18pt; background: white; text-align: left;">Prepare clear and concise clinical reports for healthcare providers.</p><p style="margin: 12pt 0cm 0.0001pt 18pt; background: white; text-align: left;">Provide scientific and technical support to laboratory staff and clinicians in MDT.</p><p style="margin: 12pt 0cm 0.0001pt 18pt; background: white; text-align: left;">Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to clinical case discussions.</p><p style="margin: 12pt 0cm 0.0001pt 18pt; background: white; text-align: left;">Liaise closely with pathologists, laboratory scientists, clinicians, oncologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis and coordinated patient care.</p><p style="margin: 12pt 0cm 0.0001pt 18pt; background: white; text-align: left;">Stay current with advances in genomics, molecular diagnostics, and precision medicine.</p><p style="margin: 12pt 0cm 0.0001pt 18pt; background: white; text-align: left;">Conduct genetic consultations and assess patients' personal and family medical histories.</p><p style="margin: 12pt 0cm 0.0001pt 18pt; background: white; text-align: left;">Recommend appropriate genetic investigations based on the patient's clinical presentation and risk factors.</p><p style="margin: 12pt 0cm 0.0001pt 18pt; background: white; text-align: left;"><b><u>What are we looking for?</u></b></p><div style="text-align: left;"><br></div><p style="margin-left: 18pt; text-align: left;">PhD, or Medical Degree with specialization in Genetics, Genomics, Molecular Genetics, or a related field.</p><p style="margin-left: 18pt; text-align: left;">Experience in clinical genetics, molecular diagnostics, reproductive genetics, or genomic medicine is preferred.</p><p style="margin-left: 18pt; text-align: left;">Strong knowledge of DNA sequencing technologies, variant interpretation, and genetic databases.</p><p style="margin-left: 18pt; text-align: left;">Familiarity with international standards and guidelines (e.g., ACMG) is an advantage.</p><p style="margin-left: 18pt; text-align: left;">Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.</p><p style="margin-left: 18pt; text-align: left;">Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.</p><div><br></div>
