Medical Laboratory Technician

<p style="line-height:15.0pt;"><b><u>What you will be doing:</u></b></p><ul><li>Organize work by matching the bar code details with the test required on the HIS.</li><li>Sort specimens for testing.</li><li>Ensure timely preparation of solutions, reagents, stains and other materials as may be required.</li><li>Record all data and results in specified forms (paper and/or electronic) with accuracy and responsibility.</li><li>Arrange reports for validation and delivery prior to competency assess.</li><li>Maintain quality results by running standards and controls, verify equipment function through routine equipment maintenance and advanced trouble shooting.</li><li>Monitor quality control measures and protocols.</li><li>Monitor stock and responsible for the stock for the assigned section.</li></ul><p style="text-align:justify;"><b><u>What are we looking for?</u></b></p><ul><li>A bachelor’s degree in biomedical, biology, Chemistry, biotechnology, life sciences or any related field</li><li>Minimum 1-2 years of experience in similar field</li><li>Good knowledge of laboratory practices (testing, analysis, safety, efficient reporting, compliance, troubleshooting)</li><li>Working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and database systems</li><li>Ability to work efficiently under pressure</li><li>Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills</li></ul>
