Broadcom’s Mainframe Software Division (MSD) is looking for a seasoned Software Engineer with a talent for developing software for the mainframe and leading a team dedicated to quality, security, and a smooth user experience.
This role is in the Mainframe DevOps value stream, as a software engineer for one of our flagship products, Gen (formerly known as COOL:Gen or CA Gen). Gen is a low-code, model-driven development environment for enterprise applications. Gen enables global enterprises to generate and deploy applications in a single, integrated development environment for multiple platforms.

The Opportunity
As a Mainframe Software Engineer (ICB 5), you will take ownership of the development, core architecture, and ongoing evolution of Gen (formerly known as COOL: Gen or CA Gen). This is a high-impact, visible role where you will apply your advanced mainframe expertise to influence all levels of product delivery. You will guide architectural design, spearhead secure coding standards, and act as a technical mentor to other engineers. This is a hands-on technical role: you will write code, lead code reviews, and influence testing strategy. Concurrently, you will serve as a subject matter expert and thought leader in partnership with product management and customers.

Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary range for this position is USD 109,700.00 To USD 175,500.00As a valued member of our team, you'll be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and the opportunity to receive not only a competitive new hire equity grant, but also annual equity awards, connecting your success directly to the company's growth. All subject to relevant plan documents and award agreements.
