    Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

    Job Summary: 'Walking the Talk' of Job Corps student behavioral expectations.   Supporting & assisting the Center Standards Officer in administering the center behavior management system, outlined by DOL, while being a conduit to students in keeping them in alignment with Job Corps expectations.

    Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Reviews all student behavioral reports for consistency and conformity to the rules; informs supervisor of irregularities.
    • Monitors and coordinates all class attendance reports from the Career Development Department, forwarding these reports to the Resident Advisors and then to the Center Standards Officer for review and potential action.
    • Assists and maintains preparation of all student statistical reports necessary in compiling the Monthly Management Reports and other statistics concerning necessary student disciplinary activities.
    • Ensures proper recording and documentation of all student disciplinary systems and that Job Corps policies and guidelines are followed, while maintaining a complete file of all student disciplinary records..
    • May facilitate periodic focus groups with students as it pertains to center culture, accountability, norms, and other relevant topics.
    • Attends required job related staff training sessions.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum: High School graduate or equivalent. Two years additional courses in social sciences or related field, or, one year’s experience working with young adults.
    • Preferred: Minimum plus Job Corps experience.
    • Knowledge: Knowledge of disciplinary techniques, excellent communication skills, both oral and written, excellent interpersonal skills; ability to effectively relate to student population, good organizational skills, ability to operate a personal computer, knowledge of word processing software applications, must obtain and maintain CPR/FA certification.
