    Working as a peer of the wait staff, responsible for training, mentoring and coordination of details, ensuring excellent customer service is provided to residents and guests.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for training new wait staff.
    • Expected to be fully knowledgeable about the day’s menu and special, to be able to answer any questions from staff and residents.
    • Completing opening and closing side work.
    • Waiting on tables.
    • Bussing and resetting tables.
    • Overseeing that the wait staff are completing their side work.
    • Responsible for making sure the dining room is set up and ready to go for service.
    • Must be able to handle any resident’s concerns.
    • Helping residents to their tables.
    • Assisting residents with buffet service.
    • Help maintain a clean and organized work environment.
    • Committed to working with residents and families to develop and implement strategies that promote person-centered care.
    • Applies "5 Star" customer service approach in all aspects of job.
    • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
    • Reports to the appropriate managers any known or suspected violations of policy and procedures, regulations or standards of conduct.
    • Attends required in-services and training.
    • Performs additional duties as assigned.
    • Minimum 2 years of experience as a wait staff.
    • Excellent customer service skills especially with geriatric patients.
    • Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
