    Job description

    Essential Job Duties and Responsibilites:

    • Responsible for training all cooks
    • Assures that all food produced is of the highest quality and served at the proper temperatures and regarding proper sanitation requirements
    • Open or close the kitchen , assuring that all areas of the kitchen are clean and orderly and that all sanitation tasks have been properly completed
    • Reviews daily leftover food and recommends appropriate usage to the Executive Chef
    • Assists the Executive Chef in all special catering events, between food and setting up chaffers
    • Assists in day-to-day food preparation
    • Responsible for keeping temperature logs of all walk ins, reach ins and food items for service
    • Responsible for delegating cleaning tasks to cooks & dishwashers
    • Assist the Executive Chef in daily and weekly staff meetings
    • Responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in creating prep lists for special events
    • Committed to working with residents and families to develop and implement strategies that promote person-centered care.
    • Applies “5 Star” customer service approach in all aspects of job.
    • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
    • Reports to the appropriate managers any known or suspected violations of policy and procedures, regulations or standards of conduct.
    • Attends required in-services and training.
    • Performs additional duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • High School degree or equivalent
    • Minimum of 1 year experience in Senior-Living
    •  Serve Safe Certificate
