    Job description

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Reviews menu for scheduled meal prior to serving in order to answer any questions from residents or guests.
    • Cleans assigned dining and serving areas prior to meal service and assures that all place settings are complete.
    • Assists residents with their menu selections within the guidelines established by the Dietitian and Director of Medical Services.
    • Notes meal orders and communicates them to the kitchen; serves meals to residents and guests as ordered.
    • Assures that plates are properly garnished as directed by the Chef.
    • Sets, clears, cleans and resets tables as needed and required.
    • Follows and promotes adherence to health, safety and sanitation regulations
    • Assists with department’s quality assurance
    • Applies “5 Star” customer service approach to all aspects of job.
    • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
    • Reports to the appropriate managers any known or suspected violations of policy and procedures, regulations, or standards of conduct.
    • Attends required in-services and training.
    • Performs additional duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
    • Excellent customer service skills especially with geriatric Residents.
    • Demonstrates on-going continuing education.
