Heavy Duty Mechanic

We are looking for a Truck and Transport Mechanic for the morning shift at our Saskatoon Terminal. The schedule is 8 days on and 6 days off, with workdays running from Wednesday to the following Thursday, excluding Sundays. Shifts are from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Job Duties

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and service all systems and components of transport trucks and trailers to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
• Competently use hand and power tools to carry out repairs according to manufacturer’s specifications
• Read and understand work orders, task procedures, and interpret technical manuals
• Write work orders and diagnose the cause of failures
• Mentor and assist apprentices
• Perform inspections as per the Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program, if licensed to do so
• Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor/management
