The Talent Acquisition Associate manages full-cycle recruiting for operations roles at our funeral homes and cemeteries and supports corporate hiring. This role partners closely with location leadership and hiring managers, sources candidates actively rather than simply waiting on applicant flow and keeps every requisition moving from intake through offer acceptance.

Compensation: $75,000 per year

Job Type: Full-Time (Work from home on Friday's)

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruiting for operations roles at our funeral homes and cemeteries.

• Support corporate recruiting at the associate and coordinator levels as assigned.

• Partner with hiring managers and location leadership to define role requirements, hiring criteria, and realistic timelines.

• Source candidates actively through LinkedIn, Indeed, referrals, and community channels.

• Conduct initial phone screens.

• Create, post, and refresh job advertisements, partnering with Marketing when a role needs added visibility.

• Maintain accurate, current requisition and candidate records in the applicant tracking system.

• Monitor requisition activity and follow up with hiring managers.

• Coordinate interviews, interview panels, and hiring events across multiple locations.

• Support the offer process: prepare recommendations, gather approvals, extend offers, and clear results of background checks.

• Communicate with candidates at every stage so each has professional, elevated experience.

• Build and maintain talent pipelines for recurring and difficult to fill roles.

• Support department projects including job description updates, hiring events, and process improvements.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 2 -4 years in full-cycle recruiting, staffing, HR coordination, or internal/corporate recruiting.

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Experience working in an applicant tracking system, with the discipline to keep records current. (Workday experience highly preferred)

• Working knowledge of sourcing tools such as LinkedIn, Indeed, or comparable platforms.

• Strong written and verbal communication, representing Carriage professionally to every audience.

• Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple open requisitions across several locations at once.

• Self-directed: follows up, escalates when appropriate, and moves work forward without being prompted.

• Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential candidate and employee information.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.

• Ability to travel occasionally to locations, career fairs, and hiring events.
