Regional Special Ed Teacher

PRIMARY PURPOSE
Provide comprehensive special education support across multiple campuses within the assigned region. The Regional SPED Teacher supports students with disabilities by implementing individualized education programs (IEPs), providing direct instruction and consultation, collaborating with campus staff and families, and supporting compliance with applicable state and federal special education requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required qualifications, certifications, education, and experience will be established by Trinity Charter Schools based on the requirements of the position and applicable state and federal guidelines.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Instructional Support
Develop and implement IEPs tailored to students' unique needs.
Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to accommodate varying learning abilities.
Provide direct instruction in academic, functional, and life skills.
Compliance and Documentation
Maintain accurate records of student progress and IEP implementation.
Prepare for and participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) committee meetings.
Support compliance with state and federal laws and requirements, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
Behavioral Support
Implement positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS).
Monitor and address behavioral challenges and document student progress and strategies used.
Collaboration and Communication
Partner with general education teachers to provide inclusive education opportunities.
Collaborate with parents, related service providers, campus staff, and administrators to support student success.
Provide training and guidance to campus staff on special education practices.
Assessment and Evaluation
Participate in evaluation processes to identify student needs and determine eligibility for special education services, as appropriate to the role.
Use student data to monitor progress and adjust instructional practices and interventions.

REGIONAL SUPPORT AND TRAVEL
Support multiple campuses throughout the assigned region by providing special education services, consultation, and collaboration based on student and campus needs. Regular travel between assigned campuses is required. Mileage reimbursement or other travel-related benefits will be provided in accordance with Trinity Charter Schools policies.

WORKING CONDITIONS
This is a regional position that requires regular travel among assigned campuses and the ability to work collaboratively with students, families, campus personnel, administrators, and related service providers in a variety of educational settings.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform other duties as assigned that are consistent with the responsibilities of the position and the needs of Trinity Charter Schools.
