Responsibilities:
</strong></p><p style="margin-bottom:0in;line-height:normal;background:white;"><br></p><p style="margin-bottom:0in;line-height:normal;background:white;">Assist physician during procedures, setting up exam/procedure rooms, preparing supplies, preparing sterilized packs, and equipment setup.</p><p style="margin-bottom:0in;line-height:normal;background:white;"><br></p><p style="margin-bottom:0in;line-height:normal;background:white;">Assist patients during visit and guide them to exam rooms; obtain and document on EMR accurate patient history including general medical history, current medications, identifies the purpose of patients visit and performs ultrasounds independently.&nbsp;</p><p style="margin-bottom:0in;line-height:normal;background:white;"><br></p><p style="margin-bottom:0in;line-height:normal;background:white;">Turns over patient rooms by removing sharps, cleaning, and setting up for the next patient.</p><p style="margin-bottom:0in;line-height:normal;background:white;">Aids in cleaning/sterilizing instruments, checking expiration dates of supplies and medications; discards trash and biohazard containers/bags.</p><p style="margin-bottom:0in;line-height:normal;background:white;"><br></p><p style="margin-bottom:0in;line-height:normal;background:white;">Prepares Rx per provider instructions and sends to specified pharmacy; accurately documents EMR results of each patient visit including ICD10 diagnoses, CPT codes/charges, plan/treatments, medications given, pharmacy information, and follow-up visit.</p><p style="margin-bottom:0in;line-height:normal;background:white;"><br></p><p style="margin-bottom:0in;line-height:normal;background:white;">Provides patients with post-op instructions, teaching and education on venous insufficiency and corresponding treatment, accurate insurance coverage information</p><p style="margin-bottom:0in;line-height:normal;background:white;"><br></p><p style="margin-bottom:0in;line-height:normal;background:white;">Assist physician during office visits, including accurate documentation of the visit, the various anatomic locations and activities as the provider is examining and treating or performing procedures, (including maintaining a sterile environment, input treatment plan, including correct site and CPT’s)</p><p style="margin-bottom:0in;line-height:normal;background:white;"><br></p><p style="margin-bottom:0in;line-height:normal;background:white;">Works in a team environment, maintaining professional relationships with patients, providers, supervisors, and administrators</p><p style="margin-bottom:0in;line-height:normal;background:white;"><br></p><p style="margin-bottom:0in;line-height:normal;background:white;"><strong>Experience:</strong></p><ul type="disc"><li style="color:black;line-height:normal; background:white;">Experience working as a medical assistant assisting with patients and physicians.</li><li style="color:black;line-height:normal; background:white;">Positive service-oriented attitude towards providers, staff and patients.</li><li style="color:black;line-height:normal; background:white;">Experience using practice management and medical billing systems.</li></ul>
