    Overview

    The Vice President, US Sales is a critical member of the Commercial Leadership Team and will be responsible for building, leading, and scaling the Celldex U.S. sales organization to successfully launch and grow barzolvolimab. This executive will establish the vision, culture, strategy, talent, capabilities, and execution model required to drive exceptional sales performance and maintaining the Celldex commitment to delivering transformational treatments grounded in cutting edge science.

    As Celldex transitions to a commercial-stage organization, the Vice President, US Sales will serve as the architect of the field sales organization, leading all aspects of sales force design, talent acquisition, training, launch readiness, customer engagement, performance management, as well as delivering short and long term sales growth objectives. The successful candidate will combine strategic insight with operational excellence and possess a proven track record of launching and growing specialty biologic therapies within immunology, allergy, dermatology, or closely related therapeutic areas.

    Responsibilities

    This role offers a unique opportunity to build and lead the commercial engine behind a potentially transformative immunology therapy and help shape Celldex's evolution into a leading commercial biotechnology company.

    Sales Force Strategy & Launch Leadership

    • Lead development and execution of the US sales strategy for barzolvolimab across barzolvolimab indications, beginning with CSU.
    • Establish sales objectives, customer targeting strategies, deployment models, incentive compensation structures, and performance expectations.
    • Partner closely with Marketing, Managed Markets, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Commercial Operations, Insights & Analytics, Trade & Distribution, Human Resources, and Compliance to ensure seamless launch execution.
    • Serve as a key commercial leader and enterprise executive contributing to forecasting, strategic planning, lifecycle management, and portfolio development decisions.

    Sales Organization Design & Talent Leadership

    • Build and lead a high-performing national sales organization, including Regional Sales Directors, District Managers, Territory Business Managers, and future field leadership positions.
    • Create a culture of accountability, integrity, collaboration, patient focus, scientific engagement, and continuous improvement.
    • Recruit, develop, coach, and retain top commercial talent with a focus on building a highly capable, best-in-class HCP-focused biotechnology field organization.
    • Establish organizational structures, territory alignments, hiring plans, onboarding frameworks, succession planning processes, compensation frameworks, and leadership development programs to attract, grow, and retain top sales talent.
    • Develop future field leadership capabilities that support the company's long-term growth objectives.

    Field Force Effectiveness & Execution Excellence

    • Lead all sales execution activities to achieve revenue, market share, adoption, and customer engagement objectives.
    • Ensure field teams effectively communicate the clinical value, differentiation, safety profile, and appropriate use of barzolvolimab.
    • Drive disciplined account planning, territory management, opportunity prioritization, and customer engagement excellence.
    • Partner with Commercial Operations and Analytics to develop performance dashboards, KPIs, call planning strategies, and field effectiveness tools.
    • Utilize insights and analytics to continuously optimize performance, resource allocation, and customer engagement strategies.

    Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

    • Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, major health systems, large specialty practices, and strategically important accounts.
    • Ensure effective coordination with Field Reimbursement Teams to compliantly support reimbursement, access, and pull-through activities.
    • Act as a senior ambassador for Celldex with external stakeholders while reinforcing the company's reputation for scientific leadership and ethical conduct.
    • Work in close partnership with Medical Affairs to ensure highly coordinated and complimentary HCP engagement.
    • Capture and elevate customer insights that inform commercial strategy, evidence generation needs, and future business decisions.

    Compliance & Enterprise Leadership

    • Ensure full compliance with all legal, regulatory, corporate, and ethical standards governing pharmaceutical commercialization.
    • Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Human Resources to maintain an industry-leading culture of integrity and accountability.
    • Manage sales budgets, resources, and investments effectively to optimize return on commercial spending.
    • Serve as a key member of the Commercial Leadership Team, contributing broadly to enterprise strategy and organizational development.

    Qualifications

    Required Experience

    • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred (MBA, PharmD, PhD, MD, or equivalent).
    • 15+ years of biopharmaceutical commercial experience with progressive sales leadership responsibility.
    • 7+ years leading large, geographically dispersed biotechnology or specialty pharmaceutical sales organizations.
    • Demonstrated success launching and growing innovative specialty biologic products, including HCP-administered and self-administered therapeutics.
    • Significant experience in immunology, allergy, dermatology, inflammation, rare disease, oncology, or other relevant specialty pharmaceutical markets.
    • Proven track record of recruiting, developing, and leading high-performing sales teams.
    • Experience operating effectively within cross-functional launch environments.
    • Ability to travel up to 50% as needed.

    Preferred Experience

    • First-product launch experience within an emerging biotechnology company.
    • Experience commercializing products administered through buy-and-bill, specialty pharmacy, or hybrid distribution channels.
    • Experience leading launches involving complex payer, reimbursement, and patient access dynamics.
    • Familiarity with Veeva, commercial analytics platforms, and relevant field force effectiveness tools.

    Compensation Statement

    The expected base salary for this position is: $268676.00 to $348929.00. We are committed to compensating employees equitably based on several factors including experience, education, licensure/certifications, skill level, location of the position, and availability of similar talent in a competitive market. Subject to eligibility and applicable plan terms, compensation includes base salary, annual discretionary bonus, long term incentive, 401(K) plan with employer contribution, health care and other insurance benefits (for employee and family), paid holidays, vacation, and sick days.
