Membership Representative - Fairfield Y

The Fairfield Y is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Membership Representatives. This role is crucial in delivering a welcoming and supportive experience for all members and guests. Key responsibilities include:

• Responding to member and guest needs with exceptional service in person and via phone.
• Conducting membership tours, selling memberships, and promoting YMCA programs.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the lobby area.
• Developing positive relationships with members, volunteers, and staff.
• Handling and resolving member concerns while adhering to YMCA policies.

To thrive in this role, candidates should:

• Be a high school graduate or equivalent (preferred).
• Have prior experience in customer service, sales, or related fields.
• Possess CPR/AED and First Aid certifications (or be willing to obtain them).
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Relate effectively to diverse groups of people from various backgrounds.
• Be observant, safety-conscious, and able to react calmly in emergencies.
• Have basic computer proficiency.
• Be available to work flexible schedules.
